Self Defence Training

Physical intervention covers a range of professional actions to be taken in the workplace in response to extreme behaviour offered towards the user.

Generally speaking, physical intervention should only be used as a last resort, when all other methods of trying to diffuse a difficult or dangerous situation have failed. Such intervention is normally only used to:

  • Protect someone from a dangerous situation
  • Break away or disengage from harmful contact
  • Separate a person from a ‘trigger’ which is likely to set off a series of events

The training is designed to teach non-restrictive and non-aggressive physical interventions which allows a greater degree of freedom where the subject can move away from the physical intervention if they wish to.
